    Description

    We are selling an antique, Ideal Hair Dyeing Comb made in the U.S.A.  The comb is 7 1/4" long and made of silver metal.  There is a piece with the embossed name that is slotted to fit over the comb's teeth.  One half of the teeth have some dark material between the teeth.  I am not able to determine whether this is part of the dyeing system or whether it is some residue from prior use.
    I can find old ads from the early 1900's but nothing that actually tells how the comb can dye hair by just combing the hair.
