Original World War 1 US Army Overcoat
Heavy Winter Wool Coat Seen by Soldiers of the 1st Division in period winter photographs of 1917 and 1918
this is the 1917 version as indicated by the rolled cuffs
Lined with a cotton liner that is still intact.
Has large rimmed eagle buttons on front and rear strap.
the buttons on the inside to close the hand pockets are pre 1914 rimless eagle variation
Right arm has a sigmal corps patch

there are a couple of holes on the front left where the inner Pocket is and a couple small holes on the sleeves- see photos for details - the inner lining is still intact with a small hole hear upper back. And I see A small hole on the lower back side
